Shredder Holiday Clinic - 21st Dec 22

Service Description

In line with our very popular junior Shredder Sunday sessions, we are pleased to provide a kids school holiday clinic. The clinic starts at 7:30am and finishes at 10:30pm. Parents don't need to stay however we do ask that you remain contactable for the session duration on the contact number you provide when registering. This clinic is for kids aged 6 - 12 years (only) who enjoy mountain biking and want to develop their skills, spend some time with like-minded active kids, go for a trail ride and have some fun! What does the course cover? The clinic starts with a fun skills session on the field. We then reinforce these skills when we put them into action on the trails. Kids will be guided through the trails taking breaks to highlight when, and how to use skills specific on the obstacles encountered in the bush. We will ride trails compatible with the skill level of the kids in attendance. The session is for 3 hours and has a limited number of participants only so early registration is encouraged. When can I book? Event registration is available now until the event capacity is reached. What age must participants be? This course is for 6-12-year-olds (age at the time of the session). We group the kids at this level so they can ride as a compatible group on the trail together. We will have multiple coaches so can group the kids into different levels to match their ability. Where to meet on the day? The meeting point will be at the MTB Skills Area on the top oval of Underwood Park off Underwood Road Priestdale. Upon arrival unpack your bike then come say hi and get your name ticked off on the roll. What to bring to the event? You will need a bike with working brakes, a helmet, enclosed footware, food for morning tea, a spare tube the size of their wheel and a thirst for fun! Feel free to wear your gloves, sunglasses or whatever else you like wearing when riding your bike. Ensure the kids are wearing comfortable clothing that can account for a range on temperatures, have a drink bottle (preferably bike mounted and please ensure it is filled before you arrive) or hydration back pack and something for them to eat when we break for morning tea. Something like a low sugar muesli bar and sandwich would be ideal to top up energy levels if required as 3 hours of bike fun takes a bit of energy.

To cancel or reschedule please provide minimum 7 days notice prior to the first session starting. An administration fee may be charged to cancel or reschedule to a different course.
