The SheRides - Mountain Bike Course is a perfect way to build confidence on your mtb through gaining skills and fitness under the safety and guidance of two qualified AusCycling level 1 coaches. The program caters to all levels of rider ability and fitness and starts all riders off on a flat grassy open area for "back to basics" skills learning for the early sessions. These are always allot of fun and a great way to get to know the fellow course participants. From here we move on to Forest trails suitable to the group. In these sessions we ride as a group so no one gets left behind and regularly regroup (ok, and so the occasional breather can be had!). We ride two forest locations so you can gain familiarity with a couple of locations to ride with your new buddies. The sessions are a great no pressure environment to learn a safer way with correct technique plus meet fellow riding ladies and learn new trail locations. The Session dates and times are below (all Sundays) 7th May 12:30 - 2:30pm Underwood Park Mtb Skills Park 14th May 12:30 - 2:30pm Underwood Park 21st May 12:30 - 2:30pm Daisy Hill Forest 4th June 11:30 - 1:30pm Bayview East (Note earlier time) Emails will be sent out in the lead up to each session with further details of where including a map. If sold out a wait list will be available. In the case that a spot then becomes available, wait listers will be advised and given first option in order of registration to accept. Event numbers are limited so we encourage you to sign up early to avoid missing out. Is there an age limit to enter the course? Yes, you must be a minimum of 18 years of age to attend or with a parent that is also enrolled in the course. What do I bring to the event? You will need a trail worthy mountain bike, an Australian Standard compliant helmet, spare tube (in the case of a flat) for changing a tube on the trails - we can help here if you are not good at it. We would also recommend gloves, sunglasses for eye dust protection, comfortable clothing, drink bottle or camelbak and a snack for on the trail. Do I need to have an AusCycling license for the event? No, this is not required for these coaching sessions. What is your wet weather policy? We monitor the weather each week in the lead up to the sessions. If the session is rained out we will reschedule another date to hold the session. PLEASE NOTE: When registering, you just select the first session date and time which will register you for the full course.
To cancel or reschedule please provide minimum 7 days notice prior to the first session starting. An administration fee may be charged to cancel or reschedule to a different course.
