Service Description

This skills course is for (men and women) intermediate mountain bike riders already with a good fitness base (able to ride for 30-60 minutes currently) looking to increase their technical riding skills. The Course will be held over 4 x 2 hour sessions both on and off trails. The first session is on a flat grassy oval breaking down the base skills. Sessions 2-4 will be on the trails applying these skills. The skills reviewed on this course will include cornering, braking, berms, pumping, crossing an obstacle, line selection and rock gardens. We have seen too many adult riders getting hurt and now its time to do something about it! The Session dates and times  are below: Sunday 4/2/24 12:30-2:30pm  Underwood Park Mtb Skills Park Sunday 11/2/24 12:30-2:30pm Daisy Hill Forest North Sunday 18/2/24 12:30-2:30pm Daisy Hill Forest North Sunday 25/2/24 12:30-2:30pm  Ford Road Trail entry. Emails will be sent out in the lead up to each session with further details of where, including a map. Event numbers are limited so we encourage you to sign up early to avoid missing out. If sold out a wait list will be available. In the case that a registration becomes available wait list registrants will be advised and given first option in order of registration to accept. FAQs What is an intermediate rider? For the purpose of this course, an intermediate rider is one that can ride 30-60 minutes on a bike however don't necessarily understand the technique of how.   Is there an age limit to enter the course? Yes, you must be a minimum of 18 years of age or attend with your parent who is also enrolled in the course. What do I bring to the event? You will need a trail worthy mountain bike, an Australian Standard compliant helmet, spare tube and tools (in the case of a flat) for changing on the trails - we can help here if you are not good at it. We would also recommend gloves, sunglasses for eye / dust protection, comfortable clothing, drink bottle or camelbak and a snack for on the trail. Do I need to have a AusCycling license for the event? No, this is not required for these coaching sessions however recommended if you want a form of insurance cover. What is your wet weather policy? We monitor the weather each week in the lead up to the sessions. If the session is rained out we will reschedule another date to hold the session. PLEASE NOTE: When registering, you just select the first session time which will register you for the full course

To cancel or reschedule please provide minimum 7 days notice prior to the first session starting. An administration fee may be charged to cancel or reschedule to a different course.
